The following economic impact information comes from an Economic Impact Study of CHP’s healthcare facilities completed by the University of Cincinnati’s Economic Center for Education & Research. The report estimated economic impact for calendar year 2005, the last year for which current information was available at the time the research was done.

As a mission-driven organization, we strive to meet and exceed the letter and the spirit of the law regarding our tax-exempt status. In 2005, Community Health Partners provided nearly $2.50 in community benefit for every $1.00 it would have paid in taxes.
Awards and Recognition
Results released in 2007 from the second year (October 2004 – September 2005) of the CMS/Premier Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration showed that Community Health Partners was rated in the top 10% based on its second-year, overall quality score in the treatment of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia. This was the second year that Community Health Partners had ranked in the top 10% in three areas, making Community Health Partners one of the top performers in the study.
Ireland Cancer Center at Community Health Partners received a three-year approval with commendation from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer in 2007.
The Lorain County Urban League, Inc. presented Community Health Partners with the Employer of the Year Award in 2007.
Community Health Partners was designated as a national Spirit of Women Premier Healthcare System – the highest designation possible – after an independent evaluation based on National Standards of Excellence in Women’s Health developed by the Office of Women’s Health, Department of Health and Human Services and the national Spirit of Women Program.
Community Health Partners earned a Gold Seal of ApprovalTMfrom The Joint Commission Primary Stroke Centers following an on-site review.
