Community Mercy Health Partners
Community Mercy Health Partners (CMHP), based in Springfield, Ohio, serves the community through three acute care campuses and four long-term care campuses that offer various levels of service, from skilled nursing to independent living. CMHP also operates a school of nursing, tax credit housing for the elderly, a hospice, a home health center, an outpatient cancer treatment center and the Community Mercy Foundation.

The following economic impact information comes from an Economic Impact Study of CHP’s healthcare facilities completed by the University of Cincinnati’s Economic Center for Education & Research. The report estimated economic impact for calendar year 2005, the last year for which current information was available at the time the research was done.

As a mission-driven organization, we strive to meet and exceed the letter and the spirit of the law regarding our tax-exempt status. In 2005, Community Mercy Health Partners provided $2.35 in community benefit for every $1.00 it would have paid in taxes.
Awards and Recognition
In 2006, Premier, Inc. recognized Springfield Regional Medical Center as a national winner of the Premier Award for Quality in the area of coronary bypass graft surgery. The hospital was one of six winners in this area from an eligible pool of nearly 400 Premier hospitals.
Mercy Memorial Hospital was named a 2006 Compass Award Winner by Press Ganey Associates. The award recognizes facilities that show the most improvement over two years in overall patient satisfaction, and Mercy Memorial Hospital was one of just 44 facilities nationwide to receive this honor.
Springfield Regional Medical Center and Mercy Memorial Hospital were named 2006 CareScience Select Practice National Quality Leaders. Mercy Medical Center was selected in the categories of Heart Failure and Pneumonia, and Mercy Memorial Hospital was selected in the category of Heart Failure.
Mercy McAuley Center and Mercy Siena Woods were among 328 Ohio long-term care facilities that scored above the statewide average of 86.6% for patient and family satisfaction on the Ohio Department of Aging’s 2006 nursing home satisfaction survey.
In 2007, Mercy Memorial Hospital was one of 18 winners of the Premier healthcare alliance’s first-ever Supply Chain Excellence Awards recognizing superior supply expense performance.
Springfield Regional Medical Center was one of just 49 hospitals nationally to be honored by the Premier healthcare alliance with the 2007 Premier | CareScience Select Practice National Quality Award for superior patient outcomes in both quality and efficiency.
