Mercy Health Partners (Southwest Ohio Region)
Mercy Health Partners (Southwest Ohio) is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and serves the community through five acute care hospitals and six long-term care campuses that offer a range of services, from skilled nursing to independent living. MHP – Southwest Ohio also offers home care; palliative care; hospice services; two Mercy Centers for Health and Wellness, which include outpatient rehabilitation, holistic health and wellness, and HealthPlex fitness centers; social service agencies; and a foundation.

Mercy Hospital Anderson’s construction of a five-story medical office building with 15 medical surgical beds and administrative and clinical space was completed in 2007.

The report estimated economic impact for calendar year 2005, the last year for which current information was available at the time the research was done.

Awards and Recognition
Mercy Hospital Anderson and Mercy Hospital Clermont were named to Solucient’s annual list of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals for 2006.
Mercy Hospital Clermont ranked 10th among hospitals nationwide in Total Benchmark Solution’s "Best Care" category for 2006 and was the only hospital in Greater Cincinnati to rank in the top 50.
In 2006, Mercy Hospital Anderson received a national award for its respiratory care from the American Association for Respiratory Care’s Quality Respiratory Care Recognition Program.
Mercy Hospital Clermont was named a 2006 CareScience Select Practice National Quality Leader in the category of Pneumonia.
Mercy Franciscan at Shroder was among 328 Ohio long-term care facilities that scored above the statewide average of 86.6% for patient and family satisfaction on the Ohio Department of Aging’s 2006 nursing home satisfaction survey.
In 2006, Mercy Hospital Anderson, Mercy Hospital Fairfield, Mercy Hospital Western Hills, as well as the Mercy Mt. Airy and InterCommunity Cancer Center’s integrated cancer program, received three-year approval with commendation from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer, which also named the first three as recipients of its 2005 Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award. Only approximately nine percent of the programs surveyed in 2005 received the award.
The Outpatient Diabetes Self Management Programs at Mercy Hospital Western Hills and the Mercy Hospital Western Hills Outpatient Diabetes Program at GCAP (Greater Cincinnati Associated Physicians) were approved for recognition by the American Diabetes Association in 2006.
Mercy Home Care was recognized in 2006 as one of the top 500 home care agencies in the United States by OCS, Inc., a healthcare information company.
In 2007, Mercy Health Partners – Southwest Ohio Region was named one of the nation’s 100 Most Wired Healthcare Organizations by Hospitals & Health Networks, the journal of the American Hospital Association.
In 2007, Mercy Hospital Fairfield was one of 18 winners of the Premier healthcare alliance’s first-ever Supply Chain Excellence Awards recognizing superior supply expense performance. Mercy Hospital Western Hills received honorable mention.
Mercy HealthPlex Anderson was recognized as a Large Business of the Year Finalist at the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2007 annual awards ceremony.
