About CHP

CHP is the largest health system in Ohio and the fourth largest employer in Ohio, and CHP is also one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the United States. With $5.1 billion in assets, CHP employs more than 32,000 associates in more than 100 organizations - including 24 hospitals - that meet the healthcare needs of people in Ohio and Kentucky.

Mission
Our mission is to extend the healing ministry of Jesus by improving the health of our communities with emphasis on people who are poor and under-served. To ensure the success of that mission, we combine compassionate care focused on mind, body and spirit with the very latest in medical technology and procedures.

Regional Health Systems
CHP consists of nine regional health systems, all of which include acute care hospitals, and many of which also include long-term care residences, housing sites for the elderly, home health agencies, hospice programs, outreach services and wellness centers.

Quality
Providing safe, high quality healthcare is the cornerstone of all that we do. In fact, in 2011 for the third year in a row, Thomson Reuters named CHP one of the nation's top health systems for clinical quality and efficiency in a study that compared 255 health systems.

Community Benefit
During 2010, we also provided $365.1 million in community benefit, supporting programs that help more people access the healthcare they need and programs that improve the health of communities.

Outstanding Employer
We also strive to be an outstanding employer; to have trusting, fair and just relationships with all of our associates; and to increase the diversity and inclusion of our health system.
